Captain

Captain, a seasoned ex-gunner of the Canadian Navy turned offshore fisherman, yearns for his daughter Mia to inherit his fishing business and shield her from the drugs and corruption infiltrating their reserve from the neighboring white village. Despite his protective instincts, Mia confesses her desire to leave for the city, stirring suppressed anger in Captain and plunging him into apathy as haunting memories of his residential school past resurface. Upon discovering that Mia has departed the reserve and faces danger, Captain abandons the open sea without hesitation, embarking on a determined journey to Montreal in a desperate bid to find and save her.
