Forty Guns

Jessica Drummond (Barbara Stanwyck), a prominent rancher, oversees a posse of forty cowboys and maintains control over Cochise County, Arizona. The arrival of U.S. Marshal Griff Bonell (Barry Sullivan) and his brothers, who are in town to execute a warrant for one of her hired guns, introduces a new dynamic. As Griff asserts his influence, Jessica finds herself drawn to the lawman, even as he gradually challenges her authority.
