Little Buddha

An elderly Buddhist monk from Bhutan, in the Himalayas, takes Jesse, a young American from Seattle who might be a lama reincarnated, under his wing. He introduces Jesse to his religion and culture through the legend of Buddha. Jesse's parents, Lisa and Dean, give their blessing for him to travel to Bhutan. This marks the beginning of an enthralling spiritual journey that will bring Jesse to the court of Prince Siddhartha and the very beginnings of Buddhism.
