Pointe Noire

In the rural Cajun community of Pointe Noire, a 30-year-old double murder case resurfaces, raising questions about justice. Filmmaker and crawfisherman Louis Leger (Roy Dupuis) teams up with criminal defense attorney Dolores Arceneaux (Myriam Cyr) to save Joel Richard (Michael Bienvenu), who is wrongly on Louisiana's Death Row. Together, they investigate the events of that fateful night during the traditional courir de Mardi Gras, seeking the truth behind the killings. Their search reveals a community marked by isolation, genetic bottlenecking, and secrecy. As Louis and Dolores delve deeper, they uncover a society grappling with its own version of justice amidst long-held deceit.
