In a tale of mistaken identities, twin sisters Seeta and Geeta (Hema Malini in a dual role), separated at birth, lead vastly different lives. Geeta, spirited and street-smart, performs for a living in a humble neighborhood, while Seeta endures servitude under her cruel aunt Chachi and timid uncle, finding solace only with her wheelchair-bound grandmother. A desperate Seeta flees to end her suffering but is mistaken for Geeta, landing in her twin's vibrant world. Meanwhile, Geeta, captured by Seeta's family, uses her cunning to escape and meets Ravi (Sanjeev Kumar), who mistakes her for Seeta. As each sister navigates the other's life, love blooms with Ravi and Raka (Dharmendra), leading to revelations, confrontations, and a climactic resolution.
