Agnes (Alice Lowe) struggles with a mysterious inability to remember her past. This leads her to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. Her misadventures begin in 17th century Scotland when she falls for the indifferent Alex (Aneurin Barnard) at a public execution, only to meet an untimely death herself. Reincarnated every century, Agnes is irresistibly drawn to each era's version of the apathetic Alex, and she is doomed to die repeatedly in her futile efforts to win his love.
