Woman on the Run

San Franciscan Frank Johnson goes into hiding after witnessing a gangland execution. Police tail his wife Eleanor (Ann Sheridan), convinced she'll lead them to her husband, whose testimony could topple a crime kingpin. But Eleanor and Frank are Splitsville -- she never wants to see him again. Roguish newspaperman Danny Leggett (Dennis O'Keefe) charms Eleanor into helping him track down her elusive husband, yielding stunning and poignant results.
